2019 Ford Super Duty F-350

Overview

What's new with the Ford Super Duty F-350 for 2019? Well, quite a lot, even though this is not a redesign year. The big change is in the body and frame, with Ford moving to a military-grade aluminum alloy to increase durability, including resistance to dings and rust, and decrease weight. The pounds saved were usefully redirected to beef up the frame, axles, and chassis elements. This is indeed the toughest Ford ever.

The range of cab, bed, wheel, and trim configurations is so extensive that your F-350 may come in at anywhere from $34K to over $80K. The six trims are XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited, and there are two engines (Flex-Fuel and diesel, both V8s paired to a six-speed heavy-duty transmission), three available cabs (Regular, Super, and Crew), 6'9" and 8' beds, rear-wheel or four-wheel drive, and single rear wheel versus dually.

At the top level, the Limited trim checks off the most amenities, coming standard as a 4x4 with the diesel engine, unique Camelback leather heated seats for both rows, voice-activated navigation, remote start, adaptive cruise, blind-spot monitoring system, quad-beam LED head- and taillights, the BoxLink cargo system and LED box lighting, Trailer Reverse Guidance for safe towing, a power sliding rear window, rear wheel-well liners, and a power moonroof with dual panels. Various options packages and individual accessories can be tacked on to any trim.

Performance

The F-Series family of pickups boasts more trucks on the road with 250K-plus miles on their odometer than any other brand, and the 2019 F-350 has been built to last as well. This super-tough vehicle offers best-in-class payload (7,640 lb) and a towing capacity of up to 32,000 pounds when equipped with the appropriate towing upgrades. Optional packages for off-road, towing (including 5th-wheel/gooseneck upgrade), plowing, and heavy-duty suspension can be added to meet your needs.

Safety & Technology

Every Super Duty F-350 is equipped with a full suite of six airbags, with inflating rear seatbelts available on Crew Cabs), and the SOS post-collision alert system. Active safety equipment available on lower trims and standard on higher trims ranges from a blind-spot monitor to adaptive steering and adaptive cruise control.

For connectivity, Ford's SYNC 3 touchscreen information/communication system is available to integrate your infotainment and smartphone functions. FordPass Connect supplies a Wi-Fi hotspot for up to ten devices, with the signal reaching as far as 50 feet from the truck.
